How DoraHacks Judging Works
- Relevance: Does your solution solve a real use case for the track?
- Technical execution: Code quality, usability, product completeness
- Presentation: Demo video quality + README + documentation
- AI Reviewer (BUIDL AI 2.5): Your submission is pre-screened by AI — write clearly
Winning Strategy for DoraHacks
- Subscribe to newsletter (dev.to/dorahacks) — catch hackathons early
- Pick sponsor tracks: Each hackathon has 3–5 sponsor tracks. Apply to ALL tracks you qualify for
- Demo video is critical: Record a clear 2–3 min walkthrough. Judges watch this first
- README must be excellent: Technical stack, how to run, what problem it solves
- Engage the sponsor Discord: Sponsors often tip you on what they want to see
- Post publicly: DoraHacks rewards social sharing — post on Twitter/X during the hack
- Focus on real use cases: "AI agent that automates X for Y user" beats "cool tech demo"
BUIDL Grants (Beyond Hackathons)
- Dora Grant DAO funds promising projects post-hackathon
- If your hackathon project has legs, apply for a BUIDL grant

Web3 Basics You Need (for Web3 tracks)
